The Connecticut Giants Semi-Pro Football Club is now 5-1 after defeating the NJ Knights 21-0 last Saturday night in Milford.  The CTGiants’ scoring came on two long passes from QB Craig Dobson to Diallo Freeman, and on the ground from running back Billy Fletcher.

The CTGiants are off over the Labor Day weekend.  Due to failure of the UFL’s Washington DC franchise, the team will play its next game on September 17, 2005 at 3:00 PM against the Empire State Titans as part of the Playmakers Classic Invitation Bowl Game at Kennedy Stadium in Bridgeport.

The pre-game activities will showcase, among others, nationally renowned R&B star Tosha Makia and the reigning Miss Black Connecticut, Rachel Spears.  The top-ranked Brooklyn Steppers Marching Band will entertain the crowd at half-time.  For details, see www.playmakersclassic.com.

To learn more about the CTGiants and to confirm game dates and times, visit the CTGiants website at www.ctgiants.com or contact the team at (203) 856-3885 or (203) 685-2469.
