The CTGiants defeated the defending UFL Champion NY Bandits on Saturday 22-6 and were crowned the UFL Northern Division Champions.     

CTGiants kicker and punter John Cerra was awarded the MVP trophy following the game by the UFL Commissioner.  Cerra hit three long field goals, and repeatedly pinned the Bandits with ‘coffin corner’ punts, that put the CTGiants in control of a game that was defined by cold and rainy weather.  The CTGiants defense held the Bandits to under 150 yards in offense, and allowed a single touchdown on a tipped long ball at the end of the first half.   The rest of the CTGiants’ scoring came from Terika Roberts on an interception return for a touchdown, and from running back Billy Fletcher. 

The CTGiants will travel to Richmond Virginia to play the Southern Division Champion Virginia Hornets in the UFL Championship on October 29 in Richmond, Virginia.  The CTGiants will also begin their national title run on the following Saturday at home as part of the Eastern Football Alliance tournament.  The opponent and precise start time for the first EFA game are to be determined.
