The Connecticut Giants Semi-Pro Football Team was defeated last week 17-0 in the second round of the UFL playoffs by the New York Bandits.  While the defense gave up only one sustained drive, untimely turnovers and dropped passes thwarted the team’s chances of victory.  The UFL Championship Game is scheduled for November 13 in Atlantic City.  The CTGiants finished the 2004 season 8-3-1, and ranked in the top ten of the Eastern Football Alliance poll, which rates over 200 teams in the eastern United States.

While the CTGiants’ activities on the field have concluded for 2004, the team’s work in the community has not.  The CTGiants will continue our charitable work through our  Giants In The Community” program.  The CTGiants are proud to announce our participation in a Thanksgiving food drive to benefit the Pivot Ministries Drug & Alcohol Rehabilitation Center in Norwalk, Connecticut.  The food drive is being spearheaded by the Norwalk Church of the Nazarene, which is pastored by the CTGiants’ own Keith Welch (FB).
